Your Home Base

You can work virtually anywhere, but having an office or home base certainly makes working less stressful and less difficult than it can sometimes be. I define a home base as a place where you can sit down and process your paperwork, a place you can call your own, where you are in control, a place where you do not have to constantly reinvent your systems.

In a perfect world this would be your desk at work but if you do not have your own workstation at the office, set up a space at home. You don’t need much to start … a desk to work at, an in basket, basic supplies to maintain your system, a wastebasket and recycling bin. You can get more high-tech and creative later, now is the time for basics. Small steps.
